The Voorhees Township Planning Board has rejected a Super Wawa location proposed at the intersection of Route 73 and Cooper Rd.
The Planning Board members expressed concern regarding congested traffic and public safety at the busy intersection. The vote ended 3-3, with one member abstaining from voting.

Local residents who live near the busy intersection have complained about the traffic for years, and think drivers may use the Wawa to cut through traffic, causing safety concerns.
According to reports, lawyers representing the proposed Wawa have already said they’ll be escalating the case.
